Ansiktsutrykk - Facial expressions

Waders on the move - Vadefugl på vandring

For some of the waders breeding season is already history in 2011. The first week of August several tens of Spotted Sandpipers, Ruffs and other birds are gathering for their migration to Africa.

When the chicks hatch they yell at anything moving in the vicinity -

Test of Canon 300 f:2.8 IS

Eventually I've upgraded to Canon 300/2,8 and managed a quick shootout last night to see the quality I hopefully can achieve with this monster (compared to the old 300/4 it is huge!).
First impression is very good, I even tried my very old 1,4x Canon converter, and was positively surprised about the result. All shots are on free-hand, so a tripod/monopod would be even better!? I haven't made any microadjustments yet AND I will use monopod/tripod or beanbag for this beauty..

Perfect Photoshoot!

An early morning drive in our neighboorhood at Kvaløya revealed several shots I dreamt about for years, up at 03:45 and out into the soft morning light - YES!
